Fukrey 3 Movie Review – Pankaj Tripathi, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadha

Fukrey 3

After tickling us with crazy antics and desi jokes in Fukrey and Fukrey Returns, the Fukra gang consisting of Hunny (Pulkit Samrat), Chucha (Varun Sharma), Pandit ji (Pankaj Tripathi) and Lali (Manjot Singh) are back with Fukrey 3 . .
The first two parts were huge hits at the box office. Although the trailer of the last part received a positive response from the moviegoers, does it live up to the expectations set by the prequel? Well, honestly. In fact, it almost surpasses it with its entertaining track and impeccable performances from the band. Talking about Fukrey 3, it picks up from where the second part left off. The Fukra gang that opened Janta’s shop failed miserably and now they make small sums with a couple of waterfalls and Chucha’s special power of Deja Chu. On the other hand, Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadha) has become a politician and is now contesting for the portfolio of the Water Resources Minister. A water mafia villain named Dhingra is sponsoring Bhol in the elections in exchange for his support for his illegal activities which greatly facilitates water theft and smuggling. When Bholi asks Pandit Ji to recruit people for his campaign along with the Fukra gang, Hunny hatches a plan and convinces Chucha to contest the election against Bholi. Due to the growing popularity of chucha, Bholi Punjaban sends the Fukra gang to South Africa in the name of diamond hunting to prevent them from promoting chucha in ad campaigns.
The group gets into trouble in South Africa, but it soon turns out to be a disguise when they discover that a mixture of Chucha’s urine and Hunny’s sweat turns into hydrocarbon, or gasoline. At first, the gang enjoys the extra cash flow, but things take a drastic turn that you have to witness on the big screen.
Director Mrighdeep Lamba impresses again with his story and strong beats and funny one-liners. The filmmaker gives a social message about water theft and water play in the most entertaining way possible. Talking about the performances, Fukrey 3 mostly belongs to Varun Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi who carry the film on their shoulders and take us to a laugh riot with their brilliant comic timing. Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh reprise their characters and manage to impress us with their relatable portrayals. Richa as Bholi exudes swag-desi rawness and fiery attitude.
All in all, Fukrey 3 is one of the best entertainers of 2023 with loads of laughs, fun beats and an important social message.
