“Supa Girlz” chronicles a dance season with the Miami Northwestern “G Girls,” one of the nation’s top high school dance teams. Under the leadership of the bold and visionary director, Traci Young-Byron, the G Girls have risen to fame as trendsetters, mirroring the triumphs and challenges of their Liberty City, Miami community.

This verité documentary series offers a glimpse into Young-Byron’s journey through a tumultuous school year as she navigates assembling a brand-new team and striving to match the past glories of her previous ensembles. Across a single season, “Supa Girlz” intertwines Young-Byron’s compelling personal narrative with those of her young dancers, including Kiara Laster, Kevonni White, Jaida Sumlar, and Jayla Dorsett, illustrating a story of rebirth and revitalization in one of America’s most dynamic inner cities.

Directed and Executive Produced by Trishtan Williams, with a team of Executive Producers including Evan Rosenfeld, Matthew Goldberg, Brandon Carroll, Ryan Schiavo, Alex Lieberman, Gary Lieberman, and Tom Dunlap, alongside Co-executive Producer Jeremy David White.
